Let me take you to the most rustic and beautiful side of Holland.
The first stop of today is Venice of the North, Giethoorn. Here we will make a boat trip (included). Depending on your preferences you can either cruise with your own boat or join a guided boat tour. The breath taking scenery of this water town will be captured for a lifetime. Please let me take the pictures of you and your company so everybody will be on the photo 😊
After lunchtime (not included, but I can give you some tips) the next stop is Lemmer, situated in Friesland, another province of Holland. Here they have their own language, a dialect. Join in for a visit to the world largest still functioning steam pumping station in the world: het Woudagemaal. (Entrance-fee €8.25 per person. Closed in January and on every Monday). The view from the visitors centre overlooking the lake is amazing.
After this stop you can decide to visit the city of Sneek. A beautiful and historic city with the Watergate welcoming us. Or we can go to Franeker. Here you can find the world’s oldest planetarium. From here on it’s about a 30 min ride to the mighty Afsluitdijk, the enclosure Dike. In the middle of this 32 km long dike we will have a short stop at the monument.
Our last stop will be in Hoorn. An historic city with an even more historic harbour, just about 50 km north of Amsterdam. You can see the results of the Enclosure Dike. A big lake (het Markermeer) instead of the South sea, what it has become since 1932.
After a long day. It’ll be a 1 hour drive, back to Amsterdam

Suggestion to this tour:
On the way to Giethoorn, there is a huge shopping outlet heaven in Lelystad. If you want to visit this shopping centre, please let me know in advance. There are some restaurants with Michelin-stars nearby Giethoorn. Such as Kaatje bij de Sluis* and De Lindenhof**. Please don’t hesitate if you need me to make a lunch reservation for you. Just let me know in advance.
